What is a cognate? A word that looks similar in Spanish and English
What does "Vidrio" mean? Glass
How would you say tree in Spanish? Un arból
What does "me pongo triste" mean? I make myself sad.
What endings should you look for if it is talking about "US" in the present tense? amos or emos
How would you say "demasiado tráfico" in English? Too much traffic
What is a false friend? A word which looks like a word in English, but does not translate to that word.
What does "éxito" mean? Success.
What does "carpeta" mean? Folder.
What does "severo" mean? Strict.
What is "un casco"? A helmet.
What are prawns in Spanish? Gambas.
What is la lluvia acida? Acid rain.
What does "pelear" mean? To fight.
What two types of ending are you looking for if it is in the imperfect tense? "aba" or "ía". (remember ABbA sang Mamma MÍA)
"El riesgo" is the Spanish for? Risk.
"hay que" means...? You have to / you must.
How would you say dangerous in Spanish? Peligroso/a.
What does "sensible" mean in Spanish? Sensitive.
"a tiempo parciál" = ? Part time
What does "una peluquera" do? Cuts hair.
If there is a "sequía", what do you need? Agua (water).
"Grave" means what? Serious.
Which "a" describes "el alcohol" and "el tabaco"? adictivos.
What is the difference between "salud" and "sano"? One is health, the other is healthy.
"tener miedo" is what? To be afraid.
