Triangle A Shape with 3 sides
Vertex A point where two sides of a side intersect
Congruent Line segments with the same length, angles, measure; figures with the same shape
Pythagorean Theorem The square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of squares of the legs. (c2=a2+b2)
Converse reversing the phrases after if and then in an if-then statement
Square Root one of the two equal factors of a number
Legs Adjacent sides to the right angle of a right triangle
Distance Formula The distance between two points
hypotenuse opposite side of right angle in a right triangle
Line Segment Part of line containing two endpoints and all the points between them
