What is mass? The amount of matter in an object.
What are the standard units of mass? kilogrammes
What is length? The straight line distance between two points.
What are the standard units of length? metres
What is temperature? The measure of how hot or cold an object is.
What are the standard units of temperature? Degrees Celsius
What is area? The amount of flat surface.
What are the standard units of area? metres squared
What is volume? The amount of space occupied by an object.
What are the standard units of volume? metres cubed
Name the error caused by not having your eye directly over the point of measurement. Parallax Error
Name the curved dark line on the surface of a liquid. Meniscus
Name the apparatus used to measure the length of a small curved line. Opisometer
