| Simile | A compression by using two like things by using like or as. |
| Metaphor | A compassion of using two unlike this without using like or as.But can be found by using are or is |
| Personification | A type of metaphor which is giving unlike living things a human quality |
| Alliteration | A repetition sound begin with the same letter which is constantly repeated.(Constants are all the letters except an,e,i,o,u and y) |
| Assonance | The repetition of vowel sounds (within stresses syllables) of neighboring words.Inside of the word |
| onomonopia | Words which imitate the sound they refer to. |
| rhyme:true/pure rhyme | A rhyme within the line |
| rhyme:near/half/impure rhyme | Slight or inaccurate repetition of sounds. ( also and impure rhyme) |
| rhyme:eye rhyme | Words that look like they rhyme (similar spelling),but do NO rhyme (also and sight rhyme) |
| Hyperbole | A extreme exaggeration |
| irony | Saying the opposite of what you actually mean |
| Paradox | A statement that seems to contradict or oppose itself,yet actually reveals some truth. |
