Star and Earth Words

geology - noun science that deals with Earth's history, as recorded in rock formations
geometry - noun mathematics that deals with the measurements of the Earth and other shapes
subterranean - adjective lying below the surface of the Earth
inter - verb to bury in the Earth
geography - noun science that records facts about the Earth's surface
geocentric - adjective taking the Earth for the center, as of an orbit
terrain - noun the physical features of a selected area of the Earth
asteroid - noun a small piece of rock orbiting in space
astronomy - noun the study of stars, planets, and other celestial bodies
disaster - noun a terrible thing that happens, possibly due to the influence of the stars
constellation - noun a grouping of stars as they appear from a planet
stellar - adjective outstanding, as a performance
asterisk - noun a symbol in typography, formed by small lines radiating from a central point, like a star
