| tangent | a line that lies in the plane of acircle and that intersect the cirlce at exactly one point |

| radius | a segrment from a point on a circle or a sphere to the center |
| congruent circles | circles with the radius |
| concertic circles | circles that lie in the same plane that share the same center |
| inscribed angle | angle whose vertex lies on a cirle and whose sides contain chords of the circle |
| central angle | angle whose vertex is the center of a circle and whose side contain radii of the |
| circumference | distance around a circle that is the preimtere of a circle |
| arc lenght | a fraction of the circumfrence of a circle difined by the arc |
| semicircle | an arc of a circle whose endpoints are the endpoints of a diamtere |
| minor arc | an arc of a circle whose length is less than the length of a semicircle of the circle |
| major arc | an arc of a circle whose lenght is greater than the legth of a semicircle of the circle |
