| Interjection | A word or words used to express strong and sudden feeling. Wow! Holy Cow! What?! Really?! Ouch! |
| Diary | A daily personal record of events, experiences, and observations; Not intended to be read by others |
| Essay | A short literary composition on a single subject, usually presenting the personal view of the author |
| Fable | A usually short narrative making a cautionary point and often employing as characters animals that speak and act like human beings |
| Short Story | A short piece of prose fiction, having few characters and aiming at unity of effect |
