| chord | a statement whose endpoints lie on a circle |
| Diameter | a chord that contains the center of the circle |
| Secant of a circle | a circle that contains a chord |
| tangent to a circle | a line that lies in the plane of a circle and that lies in the plane of a circle and that intersects the circle at exactly one point |
| circle | the set of all points in a plane at a given distance from a given point in the center |
| radius | a segment from a point on a circle or a sphere to the center |
| congruent circles | with the same radius |
| concentric circles | circle that lie on the same plane that share the same center |
| inscribed angle | angle whose vertex lies on a circle and whose |
| central angle | angle whose vertex is the center of s circle and whose sides contain radii of the circle |
| circumference | distance around a circle that is the perimeter of a circle |
| arc length | a fraction of the circumference of a circle defined by the arc |
| arc of a circle | two points on a circle and the continuous part of the circle between the two points |
