Name the three substances in the periodic table that can be attracted to magnets. Iron, Nickel, Cobalt
What happens if like poles are brought together? They repel

What do we call a magnet that is free to rotate and indicate direction? Compass
What is a magnetic field? The area around a magnet in which the magnetic force has an effect.
