Ohms law: The current flowing through a component will be directly proportional to the voltage across it's ends as long as the temperature remains constant.
For a diode: If voltage is supplied in one direction current will flow. However, if the direction of the voltage is reversed, no current will flow!
The resistance of an LDR can be increased by: Putting the LDR in dim light
The resistance of a thermistor can be increased by: Putting it in the cold
