this is for studying fractions for an upcoming test!!! :)

QuestionAnswer
fractions part of a whole
denominator the number below the line of a fraction
numerator the number above the line of a fraction
unit fraction a fraction with the one as the numerator
Equal Every fraction needs to be divided EQUALLY
Non-unit fraction Many parts of a whole that is divided into equal parts
Equivalent fractions Ex: 6/12 is the same as 1/2 Fractions that have the same value, even know they look different
