Types of Adjectives for Unit 12

Type of AdjectiveDefinition or Example
regular adjective a word that describes a noun that comes after it
proper adjective describes a noun; capitalized because it's formed from a name
predicate adjective found after a linking verbs and describes the subject
articles the words - a, an , the
demonstrative adjectives this, that, these, those
comparative adjectives describing words that end in -er or use the word "more"
superlative adjectives describing words that end in -est or use the word "most"
