More Idioms and Their Meanings

| Cast Iron Stomach | When someone can eat or drink anything OR see something gory without getting physically sick or disgusted |
| Chew Someone Out | To scold someone harshly |
| Crack Someone Up | Cause someone to laugh |
| Cry Over Spilt Milk | Complaining about a loss that happened in the past |
| Cry Wolf | Telling false information that gets people alarmed |
| Cut to the Chase | Telling only the important and necessary details |
| Dead Ringer | Someone or something identical the original person |
| Devil's Advocate | Taking a position in an argument or debate that is the opposite of what the person truly believes, but presents to help show the other side |
| Dog Days of Summer | The slow and very hot days, usually toward the end of summer |
| Down to the Wire | Something that gets finished at the very end of the time limit |
| Drive Someone up the Wall | To highly annoy someone |
| Dropping Like Flies | When several people get ill at once |
| Dry Run | A rehearsal to see how well something will work or how long it will take |
| Everything But the Kitchen Sink | Something that has almost anything one could imagine in it |
| Fixed in Your Ways | Someone who resists changing from their usual way of doing things |
| Get Up on the Wrong Side of the Bed | Someone who is having a terrible day and/or someone who is very grouchy |

| Go For Broke | To put all of your energy into trying to accomplish something |
| Go Out on a Limb | Ptough position so that you utting yourself into a can support someone |
| Go the Extra Mile | Giving more effort to accomplish a goal than the minimum expectations |
