Statistics vocab.

Population includes all items of interest
Sample includes some items
Descriptive Statistics collecting, organizing, summarizing, and presenting data
Inferential Statistics drawing inferences or conclusions
Quantitative Data deals with numbers
Qualitative Data deals with letters
Relative Frequency fraction, or percentage of the data set represented
Histogram bar graph
Frequency Polygon line graph
Grouped Frequency Distribution Data sets containing large numbers of items
Steam-and-Leaf a tool of exploratory data analysis
Pie Graph uses a circle to represent the total of all categories this is represents in degrees
