Edict An official order of proclamation issued by a person in authority.
Contagion In ancient times the pollution of a city or moral corruption. (Because of plague)
Insolence Rude and disrespectful behavior.
Infamy The state of being well known for some bad quality or deed.
Decrepit Elderly or infirm.
Descant An independent treble melody usually sung or played above a basic melody. (a song)
Scepter An ornament staff carried by rulers on ceremonial occasions as a symbol of soverignity.
Perquisites Favors, benefits, or extra priveledges
Treasonable An acts of attempting to kill or overthrow the government.
Lustration The sacrifices made to the dieties. (gods)
Tumult a loud, confused noise, esp one caused by a large group of people.
Clairvoyant a person who claims to have a supernatural ability to perceive events in the future or beyond normal sensory contact.
