decorum It suggests a pleasing set of manners and awareness of what is considered proper within any one social group.
finesse It suggests situations less superficial than those dealt with by decorum.
seemly It describes behavior that is appropriate, fitting the accepted rules of conduct.
protocol names the codes of expected behavior in any given situation.
gaffe blunder, awkward social moment. It is now coming to be a rough synonym for embarrassing error or mistake.
propriety this noun concerns itself with the observation of existing social norms.
boor a person with no social sense.
churl unmannerly boor
nuance Refers to subtle or slight variation and to sensitivity to those variations.
savoir faire to know what to do
resolute bold and determined, unwavering in purpose
undaunted not discouraged or disheartened
intrepid synonym for resolute
audacity fearlessly, often recklessly, daring.
restive to resist control or be impatient under restriction.
fortitude the strength of mind to endure pain or difficult with courage.
brazen able to undergo adversity with bold self-assurance.
temerity one extreme of boldness
iconoclastic describes a person who seeks to overthrown popular ideas or institutions.
cheeky used to describe the flouting of social conventions and sometimes has a positive spin.
