poetry terms

concrete poem the arrangement of words has meaning to poeom
rhyme correspondence of sound between words or the endings of words
meter the regular pattern of stressed and unstressed syllables that make up a line of poetry
consonance effect created when words share the same stressed consonant sounds but where the vowels differ.
feminine rhyme stressed syllable is followed by an unstressed syllable "nearly" and "clearly" or "meeting" and "greeting"
ambiguity unclear, can be interpreted different ways
poem of address a poem written like a letter to someone or something
apostrophe a poem addreseed to a person or thing
elegy a poem written to lament the dead
form structural components of a poem.
