"Get on the line" meeting with another actor to have a conversation instead of talking upstage to downstage (parallel to first seat on the last row)
cheating out playing a bit toward the audience while conversing with others on stage

muscular memory when you know the role so well that your actions become effortless and appear completely natural
offstage any part of the stage that the audience cannot see
onstage any part of the stage that is visible to the audience

upstaging drawing the audience's attention to yourself when it should be focused on another character
audible able to be heard
circumflex combo of expressing sarcasm, doubt, and innuendos
diaphragm muscle below the rib cage that helps sustain air
inflection variety of vocal pitch
larynx the part of the throat that contains the vocal chords
pitch relative highness or lowness of a voice (tone)
project to increase voice or actions so they will carry to the audience (volume)
rate the speed at which one speaks
resonance a rich, warm vocal tone
volume relative loudness of a voice
diction/articulation clear pronunciation
emoting expressing emotions
ensemble work becoming part of a whole
fall break character
going up forgetting one's lines during a rehearsal or performance
illusion of the first time actor's ability to perform in a show over and over while making it appear that the dialogue and situations are happening for the first time
interplay interaction between characters
step on to cut off or interrupt another character by speaking over his or her lines
