Separating mixtures

A mixture is two or more substances mingled together but not chemically combined
Insoluble means something will not dissolve
soluble means something will dissolve
Filtration is a method used to separate an insoluble solid from a liquid
a quadrant means a quarter of a filter paper
Residue means the solid material which will not go through the filter paper
filtrate means the clear liquid which will go through the filter paper
