| Term | Definition |

| Equiangular polygon | A polygon whose vertex angles are equal. If the lengths of the sides are also equal then it is a regular polygon. |
| Equilateral polygon | A polygon which has all sides of the same length |
| Regular polygon | A polygon with all sides and all angles equal |
| Acute triangle | A triangle whose interior angles are all acute |
| Diagonal | A line joining two opposite corners of a square, rectangle, or other straight-sided shape |
| Supplementary angles | Two angles that add together to equal 180 degrees |
| Complementary angles | Either of two angles whose sum is 90° |
