What is water of crystallisation? It refers to water molecules hat form an essential part of the crystalline structure of a compound
What does anhydrous mean? A substance doesn't contain any water molecules
What is the formula for acid-base titrations? n= c x v
What is an oxidation number? Its a measure of the number of electrons that an atom uses to bond with atoms of another element
What is a redox reaction? A reaction in which both reduction and oxidation takes place
What is a reducing agent? A reagent that reduces (ADDS ELECTRONS TO) another species
What is an oxidising agent? A reagent that oxidises (TAKES AWAY ELECTRONS) from another species
