Parts of a Circle

TermDefinition
Circle Set of points in a plane equidistant from a given point.
Center of a Circle The middle point equidistant to every point.
Radius Segment withe endpoints at the center of the circle and on the circle.
Chord Segment with endpoints on a circle, connected to one another.
Diameter A chord that passes through the center.
Radius Formula Diameter/2 (diameter divided by 2)
Diameter Formula Radiusx2 (radius times 2)
Congruent Circles Congruent radii in two circles.
Concentric Circles Coplanar circles with the same circle
