| conspiracy | a group plotting a harmful act; a harmful plot |
| resolution | strong determination |
| exploit | act or deed, especially a heroic achievement |
| imminent | about to happen |
| emulation | old word for envy or jealously |
| iambic pentameter | a meter in poetry that has five iambic feet (each foot = one unstressed and one stressed syllable) |
| aside | a comment that is spoken so that not all characters on stage can hear it; sometimes the character appears to be thinking out loud. |
| soliloquy | a long speech spoken by a character who is alone on stage |
