Theme The lesson that can be learned from a story or poem
Tone The mood or feeling of a piece of writing
Limerick A silly nonsenrical ryhme with 5 lines. The first, second and fifth lines rhyme. The third and fourth lines rhyme
Imagery The words used by a writer to help the reader make a mental picture
Rhyme Scheme The pattern formed by the ending rhyme in each line
Personification Giving human qualities to something that is not human
eonomonopia Word that imitate real sounds
Hyperbole An exaggeration
Adage A everyday saying that has some truth to it
Proverb A wise old saying
Alliteration A type of speech
