What is Alek like at the beginning of the book? He has a staff of people that serve him and he considers himself a prince when he is really not.
How does Alek change? By the end of the book, Alek sacrifices his life for Deryn, and throws his gold overboard.
What clues do you have that Deryn changes at the end of the book? She realizes she cant work by herself and that she has to work together with others. She develops feelings for Alek.
What examples do you have that Jaspert a secondary character? Jaspert is only in the beginning of the story, but plays an important role.
Does Deryn's feelings for Alek change her as a character? Yes, she is going to tell Alek who she is because it will benefit him.
How does Dr. Barlow affect the outcome of the storyline? She figures out who Deryn and Alek both truly are
How does Klopp affect Alek? He teaches him how to drive the Stormwalker.
How does Volger change? At the end he ends up helping the Darwinists with their ship and throw the gold overboard which shows he's selfless and wants the help ythe enemy because its the right thing to do.
