Ecology The study of the relationships between biotic and abiotic factors in environments
Ecosystem A unit, small or large, that consists of biotic factors functioning together with abiotic factors
Biotic Factors that include plants, animals, fungi and microorganisms
Abiotic Factors tht include air,water,temperature,wind and source of energy (usually the sun)
Ecoregion A unit, large or small that consists of biotic factors functioning together with abiotic factors (Texas)
Microhabitat Small area that both biotic and abiotic factors exist together
Limiting Factor Controls a process, such as organism growth or species population size, or distribution
Equilibrium Balance in an ecosystem
Biodiversity The amount of different species or different types of life in an ecosystem to help it maintain equilibrium
Sustainability The ability to keep going
