When Jack and the others roll a rock into the sea, what is Ralph's reaction? Ralph wants them to cut it out. A strange thing happened in his head. Something flittered there in front of his mind, obscuring his idea.
After various protests from the boys, what does Ralph insist upon? Why? Going back because there is no smoke coming from the fire.
