Atomic theory

The study of atoms

QuestionAnswer
Atom The smallest particle of a element that can exist.
Element Something that is made up of only one kind of atom that can't be broken down into a simpler form by chemical reactions.
Proton A stable subatomic particle occurring in all atomic nuclei, with a positive electric charge.
Electron A stable subatomic particle with a charge of negative electricity.
Neutron A subatomic particle of about the same mass as a proton but without an electric charge.
Malleable Can be smashed without crumbling.
Luster Shiny metal.
Ductile Can be drawn into a thin wire.
Corrosive Rusts.
Density The degree of compactness of a substance.
