What is relative atomic mass? The weighted mean mass of an atom compared to 1/12th of carbon 12.
Calculate the mass of the following. 3.00 mol of Carbon 36g.
Calculate the following moles: 4g of Oxygen. 0.25 moles.
What is the gas formula? Number of moles = voolume / 24dm3.
Work out the number of moles: 36dm3 of an unspecified gas. 1.5 mols.
What is an acid? An acid is a species that is a proton donor.
What is an alkali? An alkali is a type of base that dissolves in water to form hydroxide ions.
What is a base? A base is a species that is a proton acceptor.
What is an isotope? An isotope is an atom of the same element with a different number of protons.
What number is Avogadro's constant? 6.02*10^23 mol-1.
Define Empirical Formula. Empirical formula is the simplest whole-number ratio of atoms of each element present in a compound.
What ions do acids release when added to water? H+ ions.
What are the products of a reaction between an acid and a carbonate? Salt, CO2, H2O.
What does Hydrated mean? The term Hydrated refers to a crystalline compound containing water molecules.
What does Anhydrous mean? Anhydrous mean a substance that contains no water molecules.
