| potential | the capability of becoming real; possibility |
| aspire | to seek to attain something high or great |
| elated | filled with joy or pride |
| auspicious | favorable; pointing to a good result |
| adverse | unfavorable; directed against a person or thing |
| amiable | friendly; agreeable |
| antagonist | an opponent; a person who is against another person; In literature, the "bad guy" or anything that is opposing the "good guy." |
| distraught | confused and upset; agitated |
| awestruck | amazed; filled with wonder mixed with fear |
| trite | overused; not original |
| formidable | causing fear or dread; having qualities that discourage approach or attack |
| obscure | unclear; clouded |
| laden | loaded; burdened |
| revel | to take great delight in something |
| jaunty | lively; energetic |
| encounter | to come upon or meet |
