amendment A change for the better.

democracy A form of government in which power belongs to the people.
diverse A variety of something. Varied.
executive A branch of government that puts law into effect. In the U.S. government the president.
guarantee A promise.
legislative A branch of government that makes the laws. In the U.S. government the House of Representatives and the Senate.
judicial The branch of government that decides what laws mean. In the U.S. government the Supreme Court.
minority A group numbering less than half of the total.
policy A course of action that a government takes.
