Glossary

Some main terms from Term 1 for GP

TermDefinition
GLOBAL The entire earth; worldwide
PERSPECTIVE A way of thinking about something.
GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES A planetary view or opinion on a certain topic of a global scale.
ETHICS A set of principles that people use to decide what is right and what is wrong.
ECONOMICS The social science that analyzes the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services, issues affecting it, including unemployment, inflation, economic growth, and monetary and fiscal policy.
ENVIRONMENT The natural world, including the land, water, air, plants, and animals, especially considered as something that is affected by human activity.
CULTURE Traditions, customs, legends, stories, dance, songs, food, clothing, way of living, written languages, governments, buildings, and other man-made things that are commonly based in certain geographical areas.
