| Contradict | transitive to say the opposite of (something that someone else has said |
| Caustic | adjective able to destroy or burn something by chemical action |
| Concise | adjective using few words : not including extra or unnecessary information |
| Construe | verb to understand (an action, event, remark, etc.) in a particular way |
| Cumulative | adjective increasing or becoming better or worse over time through a series of additions |
