context the words that are used with a certain word or phrase and that help to explain its meaning
literal involving the ordinary or usual meaning of a word

contradict to say the opposite of (something that someone else has said) : to deny the truth of (something)
caustic (adj)-able to destroy or burn something by chemical action
concise using few words : not including extra or unnecessary information
construe to understand (an action, event, remark, etc.) in a particular way
cumulative increasing or becoming better or worse over time through a series of additions
coalesce to come together to form one group or mass
cursory done or made quickly
cogent very clear and easy for the mind to accept and believe
chronological arranged in the order that things happened or came to be using time as a measurement
