| Introductory Phrase | A cause leading to an effect with a comma, Using words like since and because resulting to your effect. |
| Independent Clause | Main clause: a clause in a complex sentence that can stand alone as a complete sentence |
| Coordinating Conjunction | a conjunction placed between words, phrases, clauses, or sentences of equal rank, e.g., and, but, or (noun) |
| Clause | A group of words containing a subject and a finite verb, usually forming part of a compound or complex sentence |
| Conjunction | The joining together of elements and it is a word that connects sentences, phrases or clauses.noun |
| Direct Address | A construction in which a speaker or writer directly addresses another individual; also, the name of the individual who is addressed. Conventionally, that individual's name is set off by a comma or a pair of commas. |
| Prepositional Phrase | A modifying phrase consisting of a preposition and its object (noun) |
| Parenthetical Expression | An expression in parentheses; "his writing was full of parentheticals" |
| Coordination | Being able to move and use your body effectively and multiple people or things working well together.noun |

| Nonrestrictive Clauses | Tell you something about a preceding subject, but they do not limit, or restrict, the meaning of that subject. |
