Fiction Terms Practice
| Term | Definition |

| Narrator | The person telling the story; the point of view. |
| Setting | The time, place, and duration of a story. Answers the questions when, where, and how long. |
| Plot | The series of events tht make up the beginning, middle and end of a story. |
| Conflict | The problem in the story. |
| Internal Conflict | The character has a problem with feelings inside his/her own mind or thoughts. |
| External Conflict | The character has problems with another character or some other outside force. |
| Character Traits | How a character talks, thinks, acts, and responds. |
| Character | Any person or animal that is in a story. |
| Theme | The author's lesson, message, or moral about life. |
| Resolution | Final outcome of the story. |
