VERBS

TermDefinition
Verb A word that names a type of action or shows state of being (shows what something is or is like)
Action verb a word the names a action; the action or the verb
Direct Object a noun or pronoun that receives the action

Transitive verb a verb that doesn't have a direct object
Intransitive verb answers the questions TO WHOM or FOR WHOM... the sentence has to have a direct object to have an indirect object... an indirect object is ALWAYS before a direct object
