Icarus and Daedalus Son and father trapped on island (crete) try to get off by mking wings out of wax and feathers but Icarus dies becuase he flies to close to the sun and his wax melts.
Phaethon Son of Apollo wanted to prove he was worthy of being a god by riding in chariot, failed (was kiled by lightening bolt cause out of control) Mad Sahara. Apollo gave magic ointement so he wouldn't burn up on his ride.
Prometheus name means "forethought" or the ability to see into the future
Philemon Baucis and philomon turned into a oak and Linden tree growing from one trunk
