| Natural Selection | Where species are naturally placed and can survive, adapt, and reproduce better. |
| Heretic | Somebody who challenges a dogma. |
| Paradigm | Model. |
| Avarice | Extreme greed. |
| Ephiphany | An appearance or manifestation. |
| Satyr | Comes from Bacchus god. Represented as half human/ half horse. |
| Metaphor | An example used to represent something else. Phrase is applied to something which it is not literally applicable too. |
| Nuance | Detail. |
| Empathize | To understand someones situation, to feel what they feel. |
| Dichotomy | A whole concept or idea split in 1/2. |
| Fatalistic | Understanding that all things/events are inevitable; or submission to fate. |
| Transience | The state of not lasting. |
| Copious | Abundant. |
| Annotate | Modify the text with your own thoughts. |
| Transcend | To elevate above or surpass. |
| Ambiguous | Vague, unclear. |
| Reciprocal | I do something for you, you do something for me. Mutual corresponding. |
| Dogma | System of strict beliefs that are set in stone. |
| Hubris | Excessive pride or self-confidence. |
| Anomaly | Out of the ordinary. |
| Ethos | Beliefs or ideas that a certain culture, or people believe in and follow. |
| Paradox | Contradiction that lives side by side of itself |
| Posterity | succeeding or future generations collectively. |
