| crestfallen | Adjective, glum, sad, disappointed I was crestfallen after losing the race |
| desolate | adjective: bleak, grim The moors felt desolate. |
| idly | adverb: with no apparent purpose or foundation, I idly laid around all day on the couch. |
| inconspicuous | adjective: not clear or unseen, unremarkable. I tried to be inconspicuous on the first day of school. |
| muzzle | verb: I muzzled my dog since she was barking so much! |
| promulgate | verb; to make widely known, spread I promulgated the news of the quiz at school. |
| squabble | noun: a noisy or loud argument, a shouting conversation. My family squabbles about tv shows on Friday nights. |
| tumultuous | adjective: making a loud, confused noise. The party was tumultuous. |
| undadulterated | adjective: not a mixture or diluted with other ingredients, pure The water was unadulterated. |
