Questions on the Great Rat Hunt (conflict and squencing)

How did Yep's father learn to hunt? Some of his friends in Chinatown taught him
What happened when Yep's father first came to America? Yep's father was beaten up by the white kids and the Chinese Americans. He was viewed as an unwelcome outsider.
What does Yep's father do to prove that he belongs in America? Is he successful? He learns how to play American sports. Yes, he is successful because he says he made the boys his friends, and he's proud of his athletic accomplishments.
What action is taking place as the same time the father is talking about his past? Yep's father is loading the gun as the same time that he's talking.
How does Yep thinks his father sees him? Yep thinks his father is impatient with him because he doesn't catch on quickly.
What is the external conflict the Yep family is facing? The external conflict is trying to get rid of a rat living in their store?
Why does Yep feel "un-American" and as if Eddy were Father's only true son? Yep recognizes that his father sees playing sports as a way to fit into American culture. Also, he thinks that because his father and brother share athletic ability, they have a closer relationship.
Describe Father's first two attempts to catch the mouse. He sets mouse traps and puts out poison pellets.
Why is Yep town between staying with his mother and going to help his father? He feels proud that he is helping his father and braver than his brother, but he yearns for the safety of staying with his mother.
How does Yep's asthma affect his relationship with his father and brother? He can't play sports with them. Yep's father and brother play sports. Since he can't play sports, he feel there's an obstacle with his brother and father.
What does his father bring back with him? He brings back a gun.
