Sassy (adj) Rude and disrespectful; impudent. James's last girl friend is sassy, so they broke up.
Limb (n) One of the larger branches of a tree. A monkey is climbing a limb.
Jut (v.) To extend outward or upward beyond the limits of the main body; He had a sharp crooked nose jutting out of a lean dancer's face
Scramble (v.) make one's way quickly or awkwardly up a steep slope or over rough ground by using one's hands as well as one's feet. I and my friends scrambled over the wet boulders.
Fleck (n) a very small patch of color or light Joe's blue eyes had gray flecks in them.
Brim (n) the projecting edge around the bottom of a hat. My hat hat with a turned-up brim.
Descend (v) move or fall downward. The aircraft not ready to descend.
Linoleum (n) a material consisting of a canvas backing thickly coated with a preparation of linseed oil and powdered cork, used esp. as a floor covering I used a big linoleum to cover my broke house roof.
Strut (v) walk with a stiff, erect, and apparently arrogant or conceited gait Many peacocks strut through the grounds at my farm.
Totter (v) move in a feeble or unsteady way last week, I saw a hunched figure tottering down the path
Tavern (n) an establishment for the sale of beer and other drinks to be consumed on the premises, sometimes also serving food. I can't go to a tavern, because I am a minor.
Canteen (n) a restaurant provided by an organization such as a military camp, college, factory, or company for its soldiers, students, staff, etc. Every school should have a canteen.
Spartan (n) showing the indifference to comfort or luxury traditionally associated with ancient Sparta. My house is a little bit spartan, but adequate rooms.
Anemia (n) a condition marked by a deficiency of red blood cells or of hemoglobin in the blood, resulting in pallor and weariness. I have an anemia, but it is trifling.
Chandelier (n) A branched, decorative lighting fixture that holds a number of bulbs or candles and is suspended from a ceiling. My mom bought a chandelier last week.
