| Limb | Noun | An arm or leg of a person or animal. | Humans were given four limbs. |
| Jut | Verb | To extend beyond the main body or line of something. | Her nose looks like it was made to jut out of her face like it does! |
| Scramble | Verb | To move or climb hurriedly, especially on the hands and knees. | The kids scrambled when they heard the grumpy old man coming in his truck. |
| Fleck | Noun | A very small patch of color or light. | When sinking underwater, all you see is a fleck, which is the sun. |
| Brim | Noun | The upper edge of anything hallow. | There was something hanging from the brim of that woman's hat. |
| Descend | Verb | Move or fall downward. | When people talk about how an angel will descend, I think they're odd. |
| Linoleum | Noun | A material that is produced in thin sheets, has a shiny surface, and is used to cover floors and counters. | My house doesn't have linoleum flooring nor counters. |
| Strut | Verb | To walk in a stiff, arrogant manner. | When you feel very elated one day, you just need to strut your clothes and attitude! |
| Totter | Verb | To move in an unsteady way. | When someone is drowsy, they tend to totter. |
| Tavern | Noun | A business licensed to sell alcoholic beverages on the premises, sometimes serving food as well. | Are stores considered taverns? They sell alcoholic beverages, so they just may be. |
| Canteen | Noun | A restaurant attached to a factory or school that serves meals to a large number of people. | There used to be a canteen at Southern, but now there's none. |
| Spartan | Noun | Showing the indifference to comfort or luxury usually associated with ancient Sparta. | I think it'd be interesting to meet a Spartan. |
| Anemia | Noun | A disease where a person is lacking in red blood cells, or hemoglobin in the blood, therefore making the person weary. | I think a person can die from Anemia, seeing as the red blood cell count is low in numbers. |
| Chandelier | Noun | A decorative hanging light with numerous arms for light bulbs or candles. | When I went to California, I saw a chandelier, and it was amazingly beautiful. |
| Sassy | Adjective | Lively, bold, and full of spirit. | When I was a kid, I thought being sassy was really cool. The attitude has such a big effect on me. |
