Character Traits

| Studious | Spends a lot of time reading or studying, and always does something with a purpose in mind |
| Defiant | Refusing to obey someone |
| Compassionate | Feels pity, sympathy, and understanding for people who are suffering |
| Aggressive | Behaves angrily or violently toward other people |
| Exposition | An introduction that provides the necessary details about characters and setting |
| Rising Action | The part of the story that develops the problem, or conflict through a series of events that build interest and suspense |
| Climax | The turning point of the story where the problem or conflict reaches its peak |
| Falling Action | The events after the climax that lead to the resolution |
| Resolution | The conclusion to the story that reveals the solution to the problem or conflict |
| Connotation | The emotions or feelings associated with a word |
| Denotation | The dictionary definition of the word |
