Define till. Very rich soil
Describe the Appalachian Plateau low rounded hills in the north and steeper and rockier in the south
Define geography. the land, water, plants, animals, and people living in an area
Define Interior Plains. Wide stretches of flat land and gently rolling hills on the western half of Ohio
List 2 effects that the glaciers had on the land in Ohio. rounded the hills, left deep valleys, and left rich soil
How is the Interior Plains divided? Lake Plains and Till Plains
Define precipitation. Water that falls to the ground as rain, sleet, snow, and hail
What formed the landforms of Ohio? the glaciers
Which landform borders most of our northern border? Lake Erie
Define the Appalachian Plateau. This area makes up most of eastern Ohio. The north has rolling hills and the south has steep rocky hills.
Describe the Interior Plains. There are flat rolling hills with low valleys and fertile soil
Which states lie along our eastern border? West Virginia and Pennsylvania
Define borders. Something that separates one place from another. It may be a natural landform or an imaginary line.
Why does Cleveland get more snow? Lake effect-moisture from Lake Erie is collected by the clouds and dropped as snow when the clouds cross over the land
Define the Till Plains. The low rounded hills section of the Interior Plains. Cincinnati is there!!!
