Describes how well a substance dissolves in another substance like sugar stirred in water. The sugar and water have NOT made a new substance. Solubility
Describes whether a substance is a solid, liquid, or gas. State of Matter
Describes the temperature at which a solid turns liquid or vice versa Melting and Freezing Point
What temperature is the melting and freezing point? 32 degrees Fahrenheit or O degrees Celsius
Describes the temperature at which liquid turns gas or vice versa. Boiling and Condensation Point
What temperature is the boiling and condensation point? 212 degrees Fahrenheit or 100 degrees Celsius
Any characteristic that gives a substance the ability to undergo a change that results in a new substance. Chemical Property
The ability to burn. Combustibility
The ability of a substance to go through a chemical change (rust, tarnish) Reactivity
