| defer | yield to another's wish or opinion |
| enrapture | hold spellbound |
| evade | avoid or try to avoid fulfilling, answering, or performing (duties, questions, or issues) |
| exude | make apparent by one's mood or behavior; to give off |
| hysterical | a state in which your emotions (such as fear) are so strong that you behave in an uncontrolled way |
| pretense | the act of giving a false appearance |
