Gustar Verb used to express likes and dislikes.
(A mi) me Gusta el traje I like the suit
(A ti) te gusta el traje you like the suit
(A Ud.) le gusta el traje you like the suit
(A el) le gusta el traje he likes the suit
(A ella) le gusta el traje she likes the suit
(A nosotros/as) nos gusta el traje we like the suit
(A vosotros/as) os gusta el traje you like the suit
(A Uds.) les gusta el traje you(all) like the suit
(A ellos/as) les they like the suit
a i, a ti, a el a + pronoun or a + noun is optional most of the time. used to clarification or emphasis.
le gusta and les gusta is important because of indirect object pronouns
le and les refer to different people(him, her, you, them, you all)
A el le gusta llevar ropa comoda(clarification0 he likes to wear comfortable clothes
A Ana le gusta llevar pantalones cortos (clarification) ana likes to wear shorts
Me gustan asos pantalones largos i like those long pants
A mi me gustan mas esos cortos(empahsis) i like those short ones even more
gustan plural form/ what is like(the subject of the sentance) is plural
me gusta el traje i like the suit
me gusta los trajes i like the suits
gustar is followed by an infinitive
singular gusta use with more than one infinitive in the sentence
me gusta ir de compras por la manana i like to go shopping in the morning
A pep le gusta leer revistas de moda y llever ropa atrevida pep likes to read fashion magazines and wear daring clothing
Nos gusta llevar zapatos comodos cuando hacemos ejercicio we like to wear comfotable shoes when we exercise
