decree noun A law. A commandment.
oppression noun The feeling of being heavily overloaded, physically or mentally.
oppress verb To physically or mentally overload.
rummage verb To search or inspect thoroughly.
labyrinth noun A large, challenging, complicated maze.
parcel noun A wrapped bundle of items.
smuggle verb To take something out of a country illegally.
intact adjective Together. In good shape or condition.
brusque adjective Strict, short-tempered, blunt.
brusquely adverb Tersely, impolitely, rudely.
gingerly adverb Lightly, carefully, cautiously.
relent verb To become less severe, to soften one's attitude, to ease-off and relax one's temper.
unrelenting adjective Unrelenting is something that never slows down, eases-off, or never gives up or has no mercy.
derision noun The act of making fun of, or being made fun of.
poultice noun A cloth that is placed over a wound to help it heal; a bandage.
exiled adjective Kicked out, deported, thrown out.
exile verb To evict somebody from their own country or home.
bride-price noun The money a man pays or goods that he gives to a family who's daughter he wishes to marry.
