| Earnest (Adj.) | Resulting from or showing sincere and intense conviction. (Ex. I am an earnest student.) |
| Chitlins (Noun) | Chitterlings (The small intestines of a pig) (Ex. Chitterlings don't sound like they taste good.) |
| Collard greens (Noun) | A cabbage of a variety that does not develop a heart. (Ex. I don't like to eat collard greens because they taste bitter to me.) |
| Cower (Verb) | Crouch down in fear. (Ex. I would always cower when my parents were going to spank me.) |
